Is a New Deck in the Cards for You?

One of the many great reasons to live in the Alpharetta area is the beautiful weather. We enjoy so many warm, gentle days, we can stay outside relaxing on our decks long after our northern neighbors have shuttered up against the cold. But what if your deck is an eyesore? When your buddies come over, or your bridge group meets, are you embarrassed by your existing deck? Perhaps a new deck is in the cards for you.

Repair or Replace?

If your old deck is deteriorated, with loose railings, splintering steps or sagging decking, your family may be at risk of injury. If the deck is very old, the uprights—balusters—may be so far apart that children could get their heads stuck. Current building codes we follow at Echols Roofing & Home Improvements mean 4” spacing on the balusters and posts at least every six feet.

If your existing deck is outdated, unsafe, or shows signs of rot, you will actually save money—and possible heartache—by having us replace it with a safe, new deck.

Stylish

Some Alpharetta-area developments feature homes that have small, rectangular decks tacked on by the developer in a grudging attempt to add value to the houses. They are adequate, but such a word is hardly strong praise for what is essentially an outside living space your family should enjoy for some eight months out of the year. You and your family deserve a place of relaxation that is stylish and inviting.

We have the know-how and equipment to build a beautiful, elegantly designed deck tailor-made to your situation:

  • Built-in benches
  • Privacy lattice
  • Dramatic railing systems
  • Pressure-treated wood or synthetic materials

Maintenance

Trex composite wood does not shrink, buckle, splinter or weather. You may wish to pressure-wash it once a year, but it needs no sanding, priming or painting. If you have spent any time scraping and refinishing your existing deck’s surface, you will appreciate the easy living synthetic decking can provide.

Green

At Echols Roofing & Home Improvements we care just as much about preserving our environment as preserving your Alpharetta home’s value. We also offer the option of replacing your pressure-treated wood deck with Trex elements, made from 95 percent recycled materials like plastic and sawdust. This preserves our beautiful southern natural resources and provides you with a superior, new deck you will enjoy for years to come.

Contact Echols Home Improvements for more information on the options available for your new deck.
